
The phases
- Phase 1 Organisation assessment and Report
To identify the ways in which the company already supports healthy lifestyle choices and to highlight areas for development.
A business health check tool will be used to calculate the up-front business costs of ill health in a given year and generate possible scenarios for the projected business cost of ill health in the future.
- Phase 2 Well Being Forum
Establish a core team of individuals to form a Health and Well-being Forum. They will drive the programme and establish a regular mechanism for communicating with employees.
- Phase 3 Employees Survey
Survey the staff within the organisation to obtain views on their current wellbeing and how the workplace could be better utilised to create a positive working environment. This will assist with deciphering employee’s barriers to health in order to focus on developing areas of interest.
- Phase 4 12 month action plan
Designed to address the specific needs of the organisation, detailing initiatives and projects to improve work place health. This will aim to provide sustainable activities and regular participation. Review and/or create company policies to promote healthier choices.
- Phase 5 Annual Report
Including a re-evaluation of the organisation assessment and employee health and well being survey, to compare with the baseline data.
